Buzzed The Net

now I have always been a big best buy hater. I have yet to ever get something from best buy and have it work, from a cd to a 42 inch LCD tv. the last time I went to best buy me and my roomate went there to get a tv to our apartment.  now when we went in our goal was to do this as quick as possable. we found the tv we wanted in no time, but it did take us 45 minutes to find a sales person to help us get this tv. now it should go with out a hitch from here, right, not a chance. we get a four hour lecture(not exgeration) about how we need to get the right warinty, surge protecter,cable box, wires to the point we got stuck hearing about the kinds of movies her and her dad like to watch and what she does for fun and this is all while we are trying to get out and very plainly saying this. so after a 5 hour best buy experince she goes in the back to get the tv and comes back to tell us that it is not in stock and we will have to wait another 2 weeks before we can get it. luckly cicuit city had the same tv in stock, we got it and lived haply everafter

This past week there has been one murder in Albany that has become a huge deal. A kid was shoot in the head on a corner of a small intersection. Now this is one of nine murders that have happened in Albany this year. Now a couple on this list include the deaths of 16-year-old Keynon Hawkins; Bobby Jones, 26; and Victor Anderson, 25 who were all shot in the head by one man. Another murder that has taken place in the last year is the murder of Nathan Walcott, who was fatally shot inside 11 Judson St. Aug 3 while helping a D.J. at a house party. Both of these murders have been given little press and conversation. But this murder of a suny Albany student has been given a lot of press and talked about by a lot of people I know. Now I personally feel that all these murders are sad things but I don’t see why people are more hurt or surprised when a college student gets killed then when a local gets murdered. I just feel that a college student’s life is not any more important then anyone else’s.
